Tangerines 

Mandarins appeared on our list not only because of the sweet and refreshing taste and high content of vitamin C. These citrus fruits are the only ones in this group that contain nobiletin. The compound belongs to the group of flavonoids, and its action is very important in the prevention of diseases such as type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis and obesity. Tangerines they contain a relatively large amount of vitamin A. Their regular consumption positively affects the eyes and skin. Kumquats 

The least known citrus fruits are undoubtedly kumquats – in 100 g they contain about 71 calories (kcal), 186 mg of potassium and 6.5 g of fiber. Kumquat contains these magnesium, calcium, copper, iron and vitamin A. As you can guess, it also contains a lot of vitamin C – in 100 g of this fruit you will find about 44 mg of this vitamin. Kumquat is sometimes called the golden orange. Its consumption is recommended to people with weakened immunity, elevated LDL cholesterol and having an excessive appetite problem. The fruit can not be damaged or covered – it must have a uniform orange color and a firm skin. Lime

The available data indicate that lycopene shows a much stronger antioxidant effect than beta – carotene (probably almost 2.5 mg). Research conducted by Yaov Sharoni and Joseph Levy at Ben-Gurion University and at the Soroka Medical Center also testify that lycopene is a substance that causes a much greater delay in the succession of subsequent growth phases in the cell cycle than both alpha and beta carotene. 

Lycopene is not produced by the human body, but can be supplied in the diet. The results of the research of Dr. A. Venket Rao from the University of Toronto prove that lycopene is better absorbed from processed products such as ketchup, soups, juices and other than from fresh vegetables.
