Researchers recently checked the 2 effects of creatine monohydrate (7 days after 20 g monohydrate per day and 11 weeks, 5 g per day) in patients with osteoarthritis. 

Creatine had no effect on markers of inflammation or degree of articular cartilage degradation. Of course, no one advertises creatine as a preparation to improve the condition of articular cartilage. Certainly creatine may indirectly contribute to maintaining joint health, as it promotes even muscle development during resistance training.
